Membership
There are three membership/visitor options at SMC for the 2011/12 event series with the following annual membership fees:

* Club/volunteer members must register for a minimum of one volunteer shift (options are offered during the online registration process).
To benefit from the reduced annual membership fee this option must be selected when registering at the start of the season.
**Families are defined as up to two adults and two children under 16, all at the same address.
Member Benefits
- Discounted race fees. Free annual R4YL running magazine subscription. Value $48 at newsagents
- Discounted entry (25%) to M7 (Cities) events. Other event discounts are currently under negotiation and will be announced in due course.
- Discount on SMC singlet (off normal price). $20 for club members, $10 for series members.
- Free dinner at SMC awards, on completion of minimum 6 events (visitors get free dinner if they do all 9 events, or 50% subsidy after 6 events).
- Eligibility for internal club awards. All other entrants are also eligible for ‘series’ awards i.e. age group etc (subject to minimum race completion).
- Families (with family membership) are entitled to the discounted member entry fees and eligible for awards, but will not receive multiples of ‘material’ benefits, i.e. only one subscription, discount per external race (where applicable) and free dinner per family
- First 50 online memberships will receive a free SMC cap
Members who have paid for a long run race pack can move to a shorter race at any time however there will be no refund for doing so.
Members who have paid for a short run race pack can move to the long run but must pay $5 per race at the canteen prior to the start.
Late entry purchase of the race packs will incur an additional $10 charge.
Club/Volunteer Member Obligations
- Volunteer at a minimum of one event to qualify for full membership/registration discounts. Either pre race, post race or both, or during event if not running or have a partner/friend/family member volunteer on your behalf.
- Wear SMC singlet at SMC race series and at specified events such as M7/Cities, in order to qualify for internal club awards.

Timing Tag Deposit – $5 (keep tag and bib for all races and hand in at end to receive deposit refund).
