SMC Road Race Series (hosted by Sydney Marathon Clinic AAC)
The SMC Road Race Series (commonly known as SMC) runs are held monthly from October to June, usually on the last Sunday in the month.
The SMC is a friendly and welcoming running club for runners of all levels and abilities; members and non-members alike are welcome to come and run with us.
You can run as few or as many times as you like over the season.
Register online any time up until 5pm the night before the event if you just want to run once, or subscribe to an event pack to take advantage of discounted prices.
If you want to get more involved, become a member and volunteer during one of the events to get an even bigger discount on your event packs.

The runs are held at Rosford Street Reserve, Smithfield in Sydney’s west, an easy drive along the M4 from the centre of Sydney, and accessible from most other parts of the city. There is plenty of on-site parking.
There are four events each month: a 5km walk, a 5k run, a 10km run, and a long run that ranges from half marathon distance to 30km during the season.

Our course distances are certified by Athletics Australia.
SMC runners are issued with timing chips and bibs and all finishers get an official chip time.
All our events are timed.
The long run and the 5km walk start at 7am, the 10km run starts at 7:30am and the 5km run starts at 7:40am.
All runners who enter online are eligible for lucky draw prizes, last year 20 lucky winners each month won prizes that included running shoes and socks, movie tickets, wine, Sydney Running Festival vouchers and lots more.

Aside from an Athletics Australia certified accurate course, and electronic timing, the SMC Road Race Series provides almost everything a runner, whatever their level, could want.
Same day online race results; accurate 1km distance markers; lead cyclists; well stocked and manned drink stations providing water, sports drink, lollies and waterbags; point scoring and end of season prizes and awards.
The SMC also holds a marathon championship (in conjunction with the Westlink M7 Cities marathon) and various events within the season such as a 10k teams event.
After the run we provide hot showers, fresh fruit and drinks, hot drinks and refreshments at our canteen, lucky draw prizes for those who entered online and more.

Membership
SMC is open to members and non-members alike but as with all clubs there are some extra benefits to being a member.
Membership includes a permanent race chip, a permanent race bib (race number) for the season, access to heavily discounted race pricing and eligibility for end of season awards.
We encourage all our runners to become members of our club and show their colours not only at our events but other running events across NSW, Australia and even internationally.

Volunteers
The SMC is a club run by a volunteer committee.
A small army of volunteers is required each month to ensure that the races run smoothly.
If you are an injured runner or tapering for an event or have some spare time we would love you to volunteer.
